The Setting

The location is honestly perfect if you’re looking to explore Cornwall without dealing with the madness of the coast during peak season. Wadebridge sits right on the edge of everything good — you’re close enough to Padstow that you can smell the sea air, but far enough inland that you get proper countryside views from your window. I mean, the Camel Trail literally runs through town, so if you’re into cycling or walking, you’ve hit the jackpot. The parking situation is actually brilliant too — they’ve got private spots right on site, which saves you the headache of hunting around narrow Cornish streets. You’ll find everything you need within easy reach.

The Room Experience

My room faced out toward the countryside (hence the name, I suppose), and the view really does deliver. It’s not flashy or over-designed — just comfortable in that way that makes you want to leave the curtains open and actually look outside instead of immediately reaching for your phone. The bed was properly comfortable, and I appreciated that they didn’t go overboard with unnecessary amenities. Sometimes you just want a place that does the basics really, really well.
