You know what really struck me about Towan Beach Holiday Flat? It’s one of those places where the location just clicks the moment you arrive. Sitting right on Trebarwith Crescent, you’re literally a two-minute walk from Towan Beach – and I mean actually two minutes, not that inflated “walking distance” hotels love to claim. The flat itself sits in this quiet residential area that feels properly Cornish, with those classic white-washed buildings and narrow streets that somehow manage to stay peaceful even when Newquay’s buzzing with summer crowds.

The apartment honestly feels more like staying at a well-organized friend’s place than a typical rental. Everything’s been thought through – proper blackout curtains (trust me, you’ll appreciate this during those long summer days), a kitchen that’s actually equipped for cooking real meals, and windows that frame the sea views perfectly. I spent way too much time just sitting with my morning coffee watching the surfers dot the water below. The whole setup screams 4-star without being stuffy about it, and that 8.9 rating makes complete sense once you’ve settled in for a day or two. What I really loved was how quiet it gets at night – you’re close enough to the town center that you can walk to the pubs and restaurants along the harbour, but far enough from the main strip that you won’t hear drunk tourists stumbling home at 2am.

Here’s the thing about this spot that most people don’t realize until they’re here – you’re positioned perfectly for both the beach life and exploring proper Cornwall. Towan Beach right below is great for families (it’s one of the more sheltered beaches), but you can easily walk along the coastal path to hit Fistral if you want bigger waves or Great Western Beach if you prefer something more dramatic. The parking situation is actually manageable too, which honestly is half the battle in Newquay during peak season. I mean, the streets can get a bit tight when everyone’s trying to park, but there’s usually something within a reasonable walk. The whole Trebarwith Crescent area has this lived-in feel that I really appreciated – you’ll see locals walking their dogs in the morning and families who’ve clearly been coming back for years. It’s that sweet spot where you feel like you’re experiencing the real Newquay, not just the tourist version of it.

  Nice size flat, had all you needed, lovely and clean.

  Location : close to Main Street , also to the beach . Comfortable, spacious flat . Good equipped kitchen . Comfortable beds .
