Hotel Description
Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first pulled up to The Old Dairy in Sennen – I mean, you’re practically at the edge of Britain here, and the name doesn’t exactly scream luxury. But this place completely caught me off guard in the best possible way. It’s tucked away in this little hamlet that most people speed through on their way to Land’s End proper, which is actually perfect because you get all the dramatic coastline without the tourist chaos that hits the actual Land’s End attraction down the road.
The building itself has this gorgeous weathered stone exterior that looks like it’s been standing here forever (which it probably has), but step inside and you realize someone’s put serious thought into making this feel both historic and impossibly comfortable. The rooms – well, they’re something else. Everything feels carefully chosen rather than just expensive for the sake of it, you know? The beds are the kind where you actually sleep better than at home, and the bathrooms have these massive rainfall showers that feel pretty indulgent after a day hiking the coastal path. What really got me though was how quiet it is at night – just the sound of waves crashing against the cliffs below, which beats any white noise machine I’ve ever tried.
Location-wise, you’re about a five-minute walk from Sennen Cove beach, which honestly might be one of the most beautiful stretches of sand in Cornwall (and that’s saying something). The coastal path runs right past the property, so if you’re into walking, you can literally step out the front door and be on one of the most spectacular sections of the South West Coast Path. I spent hours just wandering toward Gwenver Beach to the south – hardly saw another soul most mornings. The staff here actually know the area inside and out too, which makes a difference. They pointed me toward this little pub in Sennen called The Old Success Inn that I never would have found otherwise, and it turned out to serve some of the best crab sandwiches I’ve had anywhere. Parking’s not an issue either, which is honestly a relief because finding a spot near the coast in Cornwall during summer can be a nightmare. The whole experience just feels thoughtfully done – from check-in (they actually remembered my name without looking it up) to the little touches like having proper coffee available at all hours. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to extend your stay, and given that 9.4 rating, I’m clearly not the only one who feels that way.

What could be improved: A bit pricy. Really only good for couple. Third bed was couch not particularly comfyYuriy from Ukraine – 18 May 2025 (10/10)
Great place to relax. Amazing summer breakfast area with a real view of the OCEAN !!!! To the very ocean 500 meters. Excellent parking. Two big TVs. Lots of good dishes. Very clean and cozy. I will definitely recommend to friends and come myself again.
What could be improved: Not found any negatives. If they were necessarily written. But there was no such thingJulia from Germany – 21 April 2025 (9/10)
We were warmly welcomed, and enjoyed the view onto sea and sheep. The kitchen was excellently equipped and we would definitely visit again. Can only recommend.

Before our stay we received a message about check in and the stay which made the experience very relaxing as all questions were answered. The host was extremely accommodating before and during the stay which made us feel very comfortable. Communication was easy. Every little detail was thought of from kitchen roll, tea making facilities to a pint of milk waiting for us in the fridge. The property was very clean throughout and the bed was extremely comfortable. The property is away from the road so was felt quiet and safe. Beautiful scenery and exactly what we needed.
What could be improved: N/A we enjoyed everythingMargaret from Australia – 16 September 2024 (10/10)
We loved the sea views & access to outdoor furniture, as well as the close proximity to Lands End & the Minack Theatre. The property itself was charming and very well appointed. We appreciated the extra touches, such as the hosts leaving scones, jam & cream!

Amazing place, great location. Comfortable little house with all the amenities you could need. Minutes from the Coastal Path. Highly recommend.
What could be improved: The only downside was some unclarity whether we had to pay extra for our dog. At first we didn't, but the day before arrival we were asked to pay an extra sum.Anthony from United States – 10 September 2024 (10/10)
EVERYTHING WAS GREAT
What could be improved: This was not the owners fault but Booknig.com sent us the wrong zip code and we drove to the wrong locationEilidh from United Kingdom – 8 September 2024 (10/10)
Beautiful property and area – nice views, friendly and helpful hosts (including the lovely welcoming dog!) Loved all the wildflowers, butterflies and bees everywhere. Fiona kindly left out some Cornish treats for our arrival.
It's a very short walk to Land's End but I'd recommend going before 10am before it gets busy. Enjoyed a wander round Penzance and St. Just where there's lots of independent creative/art shops.
What could be improved: Wish I could have stayed longerRedd from United States – 2 September 2024 (10/10)
Everything about our stay was great! The apartment was nice, roomy, good for all of our needs. Enjoyed the games there with our grand children. Great job guys!
What could be improved: Nothing!Jessica from United Kingdom – 29 August 2024 (10/10)
Lovely to arrive and have a herd of sheep peeping through the bedroom window! The location is fantastic and The Old Dairy has its own private outdoor space with a table, chairs and pizza oven (which we didn't use this time) in a fabulous little garden with a beautiful view which was secure and safe for our dog to potter around in without supervision. Kitchen was very well equipped for whatever we needed and there was a lovely cream tea on the side when we arrived! Pool was a pleasant temperature and the pool area is attractive and safe. You could easily spend a day just relaxing in there! We also had a game of table tennis in the pool house. Land's End is a 5 minute walk away and dogs are welcome. Stunning coastal walk and places to grab a snack. Fiona was incredibly kind and hospitable (and her son and dog were lovely too!).
What could be improved: It was not an issue for us at all but be aware that in the summer, Lands End have frequent firework displays so if you're bringing a nervous dog, perhaps check the website to see when these are because they are very close by.
