The cathedral is maybe a 10-minute stroll, and you can easily reach the shops and restaurants without dealing with traffic noise. What really sets this place apart though is the free private parking right on site. If you’ve ever tried to park in Truro city center, you know what a game-changer this is. No circling blocks looking for spaces or feeding meters every few hours.

The Rooms

The accommodations at The Fieldings strike that perfect balance between comfort and character. Each room feels individually designed rather than cookie-cutter identical, with thoughtful touches that show someone actually cares about your stay.   A charming B&B with large and comfortable rooms, one of which has a terrific view of Truro Cathedral. Breakfast is served in a lovely dining room with an old-world feel.
  
  What could be improved: The location on the A390 is very good for those who are driving, and is close to nearby supermarkets, but is quite a distance from the city centre for those on foot.

  As I had to leave early every morning the hosts kindly provided me with a substantial breakfast box. The bed was comfortable and the room large. Location was very convenient for what I needed.

  The owner was a very friendly person.
  The property was very traditional and had a very nice charm to it.
  Some people complained about the breakfast but there were a choice of 5 cereals. Prunes or grapefruit. Fruit bowl. Yoghurt. Cheese and meat for the toast. And croissants and pain au chocolate.
  Coffee served in a caffiere which had great flavour.
  
  What could be improved: Slightly temperamental flush on the toilet. But that got sorted.

  Exceptional breakfast offer. A wide range of food selection. Excellent and very friendly service. It was always very warm and cosy when we came in in the evening. Facilities to make tea and coffee in our room was fantastic and very practical.
  
  What could be improved: The overthrow on the bedding could have been newer and cleaner. One of the mattrasses was a bit too hard.The toilet was a bit difficult to flush.
