The bathroom was compact but well-designed, with a powerful shower that’s perfect after a day exploring the coastal paths.

The staff here clearly know the area inside and out, which makes such a difference when you’re trying to make the most of your time. They pointed me toward this incredible coastal walk to Mousehole that I never would have found on my own — honestly, it became the highlight of my entire Cornwall trip. There’s also this little restaurant called The Tolcarne Inn just down the road that they recommended, and the fish there was absolutely exceptional. It’s these kinds of local insights that you just can’t get from chain hotels.
