Hotel Description

You know what caught me off guard about Rosemorran Holiday Apartments? The location is actually perfect if you want that proper St Ives experience without the madness of staying right in the town center. It’s tucked away on Talland Road in The Belyars area – honestly, I had to look twice at my GPS the first time because it feels more residential than touristy, which turned out to be exactly what I needed.

The apartments themselves are solid four-star quality, though I mean that in the best possible way – they’re comfortable and well-equipped without trying too hard to impress. Mine had this surprisingly spacious living area with big windows that let in loads of natural light, and the kitchen was actually functional (you’d be amazed how many holiday rentals get this wrong). The whole place has this relaxed, lived-in feel rather than that sterile hotel vibe. Parking was straightforward too, which if you’ve ever tried to navigate St Ives in summer with a car full of luggage, you’ll know is worth its weight in gold. The walk into town takes about fifteen minutes – it’s mostly downhill going in, which means it’s a bit of a climb coming back, but honestly the views over the bay make it worth every step. Plus you’re close enough to pop back during the day if you need to escape the crowds or grab something you forgot.

What really sold me on the place was how quiet it gets in the evenings. During the day you can hear the distant sounds of St Ives doing its thing – seagulls, the occasional car struggling up one of those narrow streets – but by night it’s properly peaceful. The 7.5 rating feels about right; it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury touches, but everything works well and the staff clearly know what they’re doing. I particularly appreciated that check-in was flexible (we arrived later than planned because of traffic through Cornwall) and they actually gave useful local tips rather than just handing over keys. If you’re planning to explore the coastal path or want easy access to some of the less crowded beaches around Carbis Bay, this is honestly one of the better bases I’ve found. Just bring comfortable walking shoes – those Cornish hills don’t mess about.

    It was spacious, bright and clean with great sea views.

    What could be improved: The location was high up away from the town centre, although there were regular local buses to the centre of the town.

    Very spacious, would be great for a family of 4 or group of friends, plenty of seats and large dinning table. Plenty of cutlery, glasses and mugs. The oven and microwave worked well. Really liked the dinning and seating area, decorated nice.
    The heating was really good.
    The location was good, not far from the town centre and beach.

    What could be improved: The bathroom window, was frosted but you can see people walking around outside as it's on the ground floor, we had to put a towel up, really needs a blind put up.
    Not very soundproof, you can hear people walking around in the upstairs apartment.
    The description of a cottage, it's not clear, it is a large apartment.

    Excellent location for a walk to the harbour. Spacious and great facilites. On site parking.

    What could be improved: Booking.com provided the contact details for the owner but no information about how to access the property. No phone number or key info. Eventually came across host in apartment 1.

    The apartment was clean and cozy with lots of windows that flooded the room with light.The views of the sea and coast line and all the bays were amazing. The bathroom was big and all very modern.
