Hotel Description
You know what struck me first about Robin Cottage? It’s actually tucked away on this quiet little lane where you can hear the ocean but not the usual Perranporth beach crowds – which, if you’ve been there in summer, you’ll know is saying something. The cottage sits maybe a five-minute walk from the main beach, close enough that you can pop back for forgotten sunscreen but far enough that you’re not dealing with the car park chaos that happens around Ponsmere Hotel area. Honestly, the parking situation alone makes this place worth it – there’s a dedicated spot right there, and anyone who’s tried to find parking in Perranporth during peak season will tell you that’s like gold dust.
The cottage itself has this proper cozy feel without being cramped, if that makes sense. I mean, it’s definitely a one-bedroom place, so don’t expect a sprawling holiday home, but everything’s been done really thoughtfully. The bedroom’s got these thick curtains that actually block out the morning light (thank god, because Cornish summers mean sunrise at like 5 AM), and the bed’s comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up with that weird holiday back ache you sometimes get. The kitchen’s compact but functional – I managed to cook proper meals without feeling like I was playing Tetris with the cookware. What I really appreciated was the little touches, like decent coffee and those extra blankets tucked away for when the coastal evenings get chilly. The WiFi actually works too, which isn’t always a given in these coastal spots where the internet can be… well, temperamental.
But here’s the thing – it’s the location that really makes Robin Cottage special. You’re positioned perfectly for exploring beyond just the main Perranporth strip. The coastal path is right there, so you can walk to Droskyn Point without getting in the car, and if you’re feeling ambitious, the walk toward St. Agnes is absolutely stunning (though pack water, it’s longer than it looks). Plus, you’re close enough to nip into the village for supplies at the Co-op or grab fish and chips from that place near the car park – you know, the one that always has the queue. I found myself using the cottage as a proper base rather than just somewhere to crash, which doesn’t always happen with holiday rentals. The 9.2 rating honestly feels about right – it’s not luxury, but it’s exactly what you want from a Cornish cottage: comfortable, well-located, and authentic without being rustic to the point of inconvenience.

Beautiful cottage, we felt like we had found an absolute gem, very clean, very well equipped, comfortable, brilliant location, just what we wanted.
What could be improved: There was absolutely nothing not to like, the only thing I will say was 10 mins in and I banged my head (hard)twice going up the stairs on a low beam at the bottom of the stairs. Took me by surprise as I wasn’t expecting it. I didn’t do it again though, was very mindful of it after that.Jackie from United Kingdom – 18 June 2025 (10/10)
Perfect location for walking to the beach and shops. Small but perfectly formed, clean and had everything we needed.

We have an amazing stay at this beautiful cottage. It has everything we need and worked perfectly for the both of us during our week long stay.
What could be improved: Only recommendation I'd make is to do with the bed, it's really creaky and for someone who's a fidgeter at night it caused my other half to have a lot of broken sleep.Paul from United Kingdom – 25 June 2024 (10/10)
Perfect cottage for 2 people. Lovely quiet, secure location, but within a short walk from the town and beach. Has all the equipment you'll need in the kitchen. Good Wi-Fi speed. Nice patio area for those evening drinks or early morning read. Internally everything was spotlessly clean.
What could be improved: Nothing to add here.Jack from United Kingdom – 30 May 2024 (9/10)
2 min walk to the beach. Very nicely decorated. Full kitchen, dishwasher. Smart TV. A lovely cottage with everything you need for a beach holiday or a walking holiday
Wayne from United Kingdom – 29 January 2024 (9/10)
Everything about the property was just perfect for me and my wife
What could be improved: Could maybe do with better directions to find it
