You know what struck me first about Seaberry Cottage? It’s actually perched on working farmland, so you’re waking up to proper countryside views mixed with glimpses of the Atlantic – not the sanitized “farm experience” some places try to sell you. The cottage sits on Polrunny Farm just outside Boscastle, and honestly, the location hits that sweet spot where you feel properly remote but you’re still only a ten-minute walk down to the harbor when you want fish and chips or a pint at the Napoleon Inn.

The log burner is the real deal, not some decorative fireplace – I mean, you’ll actually want to use it since Cornwall evenings can get properly chilly even in summer. The sea view isn’t one of those “if you crane your neck and squint” situations either; you can genuinely see the water from the main windows, which is brilliant when there’s a storm rolling in (and trust me, watching Atlantic weather from inside with the fire going is something else). The cottage itself feels authentically Cornish without being overdone – thick stone walls, low ceilings in spots, but modernized enough that the WiFi actually works and the shower has decent pressure. Parking’s right there, which matters more than you’d think when you’re hauling groceries up from Camelford or coming back muddy from the coast path.

What really sells this place is how it connects you to the area without isolating you. The South West Coast Path literally runs past the farm, so you can walk to Tintagel Castle in about an hour if you’re feeling ambitious, or just wander down to Boscastle’s harbor in your slippers if that’s more your speed. The owners clearly know the area – they left proper local recommendations, not just the obvious tourist spots. Sure, the cottage books up fast during peak season (especially August when everyone descends on Cornwall), but that 9.6 rating isn’t accidental. It’s one of those places where you end up extending your stay if there’s availability, because once you’re settled in with the fire crackling and the sea doing its thing in the distance, leaving feels like a mistake you’re not quite ready to make.

  The views were incredible. Perfect position if you wanted to be out of the way from noise but close enough to the town..

  Quaint stone wall cottage restored to a very high modern standard. Quiet rural location. All mod cons provided. Very helpful owners. The cottage had a lot of the things I like in a stay, washing machine, tea pot, comfy (not too soft) bed, TV with entertainment apps, lots of information on the local area, parking and quiet.

  There was nothing they hadn't thought of. The cottage was very well equipped and comfortable.
  It was in a lovely location at the top of the hill – the views were amazing. Sea one side, country the other side.
  There was plenty to do within the local area – beaches to visit, towns to shop in, places of interest to look at.
  
  What could be improved: Only 1 very small niggle – no enclosed garden for late night/early morning dog wees.
  But there is a garden and small grass area just across the lane.
