Honestly, when I first pulled up to NB12 on Trevelgue Road, I wasn’t sure what to expect – I mean, it’s a caravan, right? But this place completely changed my perspective on what holiday accommodation can be. The whole setup is actually pretty brilliant, and you’re literally a stone’s throw from Porth Beach, which locals will tell you is one of the better stretches of sand around Newquay without all the chaos of the main town beaches.

The caravan itself feels way more spacious than you’d imagine, and whoever kitted it out really thought about the details. There’s proper storage space (you know how holiday places usually have nowhere to put your stuff), decent lighting for those rainy Cornwall evenings, and the kitchen setup is genuinely functional – not just some token kitchenette. What really struck me was how quiet it gets at night; Trevelgue Road isn’t one of those party streets, so you can actually sleep with the windows open and just hear the ocean in the distance. The whole Porth area has this lovely residential feel that’s completely different from central Newquay’s madness, especially during peak summer when the town center gets absolutely mental with hen parties and surfers.

Here’s what I really loved – you’re close enough to walk into Newquay proper when you want the buzz (maybe 15 minutes if you don’t mind the hills), but you feel like you’re staying somewhere that locals might actually choose too. Porth Beach is perfect for families, and there’s this great coastal path that runs right past if you’re into walking. Parking was straightforward, which honestly is half the battle in Cornwall during summer. The whole experience felt relaxed and unpretentious – no fancy reception desk drama, just good accommodation in a spot that gets the balance right between accessibility and peace. Plus, with that 8.6 rating, it’s clearly not just me who thinks they’ve got something special going on here.

  Easy contact with Caravan owner. Perfect location. Close to swimming pool, shop, play ground and parking. Nice view. Our youngest kids enjoyed to watch cows :). We had great time there.

  Lovely location, with view of some sheep. Very clean. Was bigger than I thought it would be, great for up to 6 people. Sophia was very helpful as well.

  Perfectly located, the caravan was clean and tidy with everything we needed for our stay. The host was easily contactable and friendly. For the price paid we found this to be the perfect staycation and plan to return later this year.

  Great stay at newquay bay resort. The home was clean,warm and comfortable. My host Sophia was fantastic, it was cold the first morning and the water pipes had frozen, after a quick message,Sophia responded very quickly and the issue was sorted out immediately. Would highly recommend a stay here
