You know what struck me first about this place? The name is absolutely ridiculous – I mean, who calls their property “Luxury Sea View Apartment with Multi Room Balcony And Private Onsite Parking Only 300M From the Beach”? It sounds like someone threw every selling point into a blender. But honestly, once you get past that mouthful, everything they’re claiming is actually spot-on.
I’ve stayed in plenty of places around Cornwall, and finding decent parking in Looe is usually a nightmare – especially during summer when the narrow streets are clogged with day-trippers trying to squeeze into impossibly tight spaces. Having your own guaranteed spot right at the property is genuinely brilliant. The apartment itself sits in the Lemain Garden complex on Portuan Road, which is this quiet residential stretch that most tourists never discover. It’s far enough from the main drag that you won’t hear drunk holidaymakers stumbling back from the pubs at midnight, but close enough that you can walk to the beach in about four minutes (I timed it).
The balcony situation is where this place really shines – and I get why they made such a big deal about it in the name. It’s not just one of those tiny Juliet balconies where you can barely fit a chair. This thing wraps around multiple rooms, so you can catch the morning sun with your coffee in one spot, then migrate to watch the sunset from another angle. The sea views are proper views too, not some glimpse between buildings that requires you to crane your neck at an awkward angle. On clear days you can see right across the bay, and there’s something oddly satisfying about watching the fishing boats head out in the early morning. The interior feels genuinely upscale without being sterile – good quality furnishings, a kitchen that’s actually equipped for cooking real meals (not just reheating takeaway), and beds that don’t feel like they came from a budget chain.
What really sells me on this place is how it manages to feel like a proper retreat rather than just somewhere to crash between beach days. Looe can get absolutely mental during peak season, but having this calm base where you can spread out and breathe makes all the difference. The 9.9 rating isn’t some fluke either – you can tell the owners actually care about getting the details right. I mean, they’ve even got decent WiFi, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many seaside rentals still treat internet like an afterthought. The only minor gripe is that the apartment complex itself looks pretty ordinary from the outside – nothing that hints at how nice it is inside. But that’s probably a blessing since it keeps it off the radar of the Instagram crowd who descend on anywhere that photographs well.

The owners could not have been kinder – fantastic communication and incredibly helpful. They really did go above and beyond. The apartment is spotless, very well-equipped and supremely comfortable. The bed is heavenly!

The bedroom living room and kitchen area were all ideally proportioned with great views of the sea from both the living and bedroom areas. Additionally, the balcony could be accessed from both main rooms. The furnishings were contemporary and matched the rooms and all aspects of the property were very well equipped.

I’ve stayed in many places within the UK and would be confident to say this is one of the best apartments I’ve stayed in. Everything is of a high standard and the attention to detail and extras offered are elevated from many other hired homes.
The balcony offers a stunning panoramic portrait of a quintessential Cornish coastal scenery. I spent the early morning watching with sunrise with a coffee and admiring a sunset with something slightly stronger.
Private parking is a definite rare benefit in Looe. To have a double space below the property and within walking length of both Looe and the coastal path to Polperro was a delight.
