You know what struck me first about Little Chyryn Perranuthnoe? It’s tucked away on Saint Pirans Way – honestly, if you’re not looking for it, you’d probably drive right past. And that’s actually part of its charm. This isn’t one of those flashy coastal hotels screaming for attention; it’s more like staying at a really well-appointed friend’s place who happens to have impeccable taste and lives in one of Cornwall’s most gorgeous spots. The whole Perranuthnoe area has this sort of… understated elegance, I guess? You’re literally a stone’s throw from the beach (and I mean that – it’s maybe a three-minute walk), but you’re not dealing with the crowds that swamp places like St. Ives during summer.

The property itself feels refreshingly personal – clearly someone put real thought into the details rather than just ordering everything from a hotel supply catalog. I mean, the 9.3 rating makes sense when you experience it firsthand. The rooms have this cozy-but-sophisticated vibe, with proper attention to things that actually matter when you’re traveling: really good WiFi, blackout curtains that work, and – this might sound small but trust me – excellent water pressure in the shower. What I loved is how they’ve managed to keep the character of what feels like a traditional Cornish building while making everything work perfectly for modern travelers. Parking’s sorted (which anyone who’s tried to find a spot in these coastal villages will appreciate), and the whole place is quiet enough that you’ll actually sleep well, even if you’re a light sleeper like me.

Here’s the thing about staying in Perranuthnoe – you’re positioned perfectly for exploring this stretch of the coast without being stuck in tourist central. Mount’s Bay is right there, and you can walk the coastal path in either direction for some absolutely stunning views. The village itself is tiny but charming, with a proper Cornish pub (the Victoria Inn) that’s worth checking out for dinner if you don’t feel like venturing far. What really sells this place for me is that balance – it’s peaceful and restorative when you want to just decompress, but you’re still close enough to Penzance (about ten minutes by car) when you need proper shops or restaurants. Little Chyryn feels like the kind of place where you’d book for three nights and end up wishing you’d planned for five. It’s that 4-star sweet spot where everything works smoothly without feeling overly fussy or corporate.

  Location was perfect for coastal walking and to the local beach. We had everything we needed for a relaxing stay.

  The property was very clean and in many aspects looked new, I was quite surprised to see feedback from guests as far back as 2020! It was comfortable, nice and bright with a very good view of the sea upstairs. A nice welcome of a bottle of Prosecco and cookies was appreciated. All the amenities worked well, parking was very convenient right outside the bedroom door, though reversing up the incline of the driveway might be a challenge for some drivers. Excellent for a couple on a short holiday.
  
  What could be improved: The spiral staircase is quite narrow would very likely present a challenge for anyone with limited mobility. And the sliding door of the shower room would benefit from fully-frosted glass to improve the level of privacy.

  Exceptionally clean property. Very thoughtfully decorated and furnished with lots of added comforts.
  Beautiful, quiet and relaxing position near the beach.
  
  What could be improved: It would be useful to have a microwave included in the kitchen appliances.

  Great location, very clean, host was very helpful. Good local beach and local pub has great food.
  
  What could be improved: Somewhat not private enough, felt like sharing house with host, because there's a door ( locked) between bedroom and host's front door hallway, and another between apartment kitchen and her upstairs landing. Bathroom is not private at all, bathroom door is a glass partially see through sliding door that doesn't shut properly and most intimate toilet moments are going to be shared fully.

  The location is excellent, great proximity to the beach and the Coast path. Good pub in the village, everyone very friendly.

  Die Wohnung ist mit viel Liebe eingerichtet und makellos sauber. Zur Begrüßung standen eine Flasche Wein und Biscuits bereit. Die Vermieterin ist sehr sehr nett und hilfsbereit!

  Fijn klein appartement, schoon, fris, keuken van alle gemakken voorzien (oven, vaatwasser, magnetron, koelkast met klein vriesvak, föhn, handdoeken) en een heerlijk bed (weliswaar aan de smalle kant, maar dat is nou eenmaal de Engelse maat). Dorpje zelf is erg rustig, maar je kunt lopend naar het zandstrand(je) waar je ook wat kan drinken en eten. De locatie is als uitvalsbasis voor diverse prachtplekken in Cornwall prima, merendeel binnen ca 20-25 min. Met mooi weer lekker op je eigen terrasje zitten. Vriendelijke host!
  
  What could be improved: Het bankje in de woonkamer ziet er vooral leuk uit, maar zit belabberd. Dus hopen op mooi weer, zodat je lekker buiten kunt zijn.

  Wir waren eine Woche in diesem Appartment und es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Sam, die Gastgeberin, war äusserst hilfsbereit und freundlich. Wir bekamen wie gewünscht auch ein extra Duvet und wir haben viele wertvolle Tips für unsere Ausflüge bekommen. Wir reisen viel und haben selten so ein sauberes Appartment gehabt. In der Küche war alles vorhanden, was man zum Kochen braucht. Ueberhaupt war das Appartment sehr geschmackvoll und stilvoll eingerichtet mit vielen schönen Fotografien von Sam. Wir haben viel auf dem Balkon gegessen von wo aus wir eine herrliche Aussicht auf das Meer und dass Dorf hatten. Die Lage war für uns optimal. Wir gingen viel auf dem Küstenpfad wandern und konnten direkt vom Hause aus loswandern. Zudem war es sehr ruhig. Kein Nachtlärm. Das Wifi hat super funkioniert auch zum streamen. Alles in allem ein wunderschöner Ort mit einer tollen Gastgeberin.
  
  What could be improved: Wie der Name "Little Chyryn" schon sagt war das Appartment relatativ klein. Im oberen Geschoss hat uns das nicht gestört, da war genügend Raum vorhanden. Unten im Schlafzimmer hingegen fanden wir es schon eng. Vor allem das Bett mit 140 cm Breite war für uns zu schmal. Man konnte sich kaum drehen ohne den Nachbar aufzuwecken. Das war das einzige was uns gestört hat. Sonst war alles perfekt.
