Large 3 bedroom flat in Sennen

You know what really surprised me about this place? It’s not actually in Sennen village itself – Mayon Farm sits just outside on the approach road, which honestly turned out to be perfect. You get this lovely quiet spot away from the summer crowds, but you’re still close enough to walk down to Sennen Cove beach in about ten minutes (maybe fifteen if you’re carrying all the beach gear).

The flat itself is properly spacious – I mean, they say three bedrooms but it feels more generous than most places that claim the same thing. The kitchen’s well-equipped too, which matters because while Sennen has the Old Success Inn for meals, you’ll probably want to cook some nights, especially if you’re staying for a week. The windows face west, so you catch these incredible sunset views across the fields toward the coast. Actually, on clear evenings you can just make out the sea in the distance. There’s decent parking right outside, which is a blessing because finding a spot in Sennen village during peak season can be… well, let’s just say challenging. The owners clearly know what they’re doing – little touches like proper blackout blinds (essential when the sun rises early in summer) and enough towels that you don’t have to ration them.

What really makes this spot work is the location between Sennen and Land’s End. You’re about five minutes from the coastal path that runs along some of the most dramatic clifftop scenery in Cornwall – seriously, the bit between Sennen and Land’s End is spectacular, especially early morning when you might spot seals down in the coves. The tourist circus at Land’s End is close enough if you want to tick that box, but far enough away that you don’t get the coach party noise. Sennen Cove itself has this brilliant wide sandy beach that’s perfect for families, plus Gwenver Beach just around the headland if you want something a bit wilder. The surf’s pretty consistent here too – there’s a surf school at the cove if you’re keen to try. I’d definitely recommend stocking up on groceries in Penzance before you come out here though, because the local shop in Sennen is fine for basics but limited on choice. All in all, it’s one of those places where you can properly switch off – far enough from everything to feel remote, but comfortable enough that you’re not roughing it. Perfect if you want proper Cornwall without the tourist trap feel.

  Very pleasant cottage. There was a damp odour at first but after awhile it was better, the property just needed airing. There was milk, tea, coffee and biscuits left for us. Very nice white bedding.

  Ladie provided very good instruction how to get there. It was very usefully. It was hairdryer, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee and coffee maker, tea. House was clean and tidy. Beds are comfy. Beach is close and shop as well.

  A nice getaway, especially since we caught Cornwall in a cold spell. Super clean and lovely space with good facilities, we enjoyed watching Blue Planet on the big screen after a trip to Eden project!

  Lovely warm cottage. Plenty of info from owner to facilitate access. great location for Sennen, Kands End and Sennen Cove, and the First and Last pub! Owner went out of their way to make it a lovely stay.

  The property was great and had everything one can ask for (coffee, tea, milk, sugar, utensils, apliances, etc). The beds where comfy and overall the property was clean and well maintained. The acomodation was close to the sea and close to local tourstic attraction.
  
  What could be improved: I think it would be a good ideea if the acomodation included toiletries such as shower gel, shampoo, stuff you usually find in hotels. But can't complain about anything else.
