This place sits on Treleaven Farm, which means you wake up to actual countryside views instead of the usual tourist-packed streets of central Mevagissey (though honestly, you’re only about a 10-minute walk from the harbor when you want that bustling fishing village vibe).

The hosts here – they’ve got this thing figured out where it feels like staying with friends who just happen to have impeccable taste and know exactly how to make a proper breakfast. I’m talking about the kind of morning spread where everything’s clearly sourced locally, and you can actually taste the difference in the eggs because, well, there are probably chickens wandering around somewhere nearby. The rooms have that perfect balance where it’s obviously a working farm setting but nothing feels rustic in that “we’re trying too hard to be quaint” way. You know what I mean? The beds are actually comfortable – like, properly comfortable – and the bathrooms are modern enough that you don’t feel like you’re roughing it. Plus, parking is never an issue, which anyone who’s tried to navigate Mevagissey’s narrow streets during peak season will appreciate.

What really sets this place apart though is the location itself. You’re tucked away enough that evening sounds are more sheep and wind through trees rather than car doors slamming and tourists heading back from the pub. But here’s the thing – you can still walk into Mevagissey proper when you want to grab dinner at one of the harbor restaurants or poke around the little shops. It’s like having a retreat that doesn’t actually cut you off from everything. The coastal path is right there too, so if you’re into walking (and honestly, you should be if you’re staying in this part of Cornwall), you can head toward Charlestown or even push on toward the Eden Project without dealing with car parks and traffic. I stayed here in late September, which turned out to be perfect timing – still warm enough for coastal walks but past the summer crowds, and the hosts mentioned it’s one of their favorite times of year too.
