You know what struck me first about Fowey Landing? It’s tucked away in this converted mill building right on Station Road – and I mean literally walking distance from where the old railway used to run down to the harbor. Most people drive right past Blue Mill without realizing there’s this gem of an apartment hotel inside, which honestly works in your favor because it stays pretty quiet even during the summer madness.

The thing about Fowey is that everyone talks about the harbor views and the medieval streets (which, fair enough, are gorgeous), but staying at Fowey Landing actually gives you something better – you’re close enough to walk everywhere in about three minutes, but far enough from the main drag that you won’t have drunk tourists singing sea shanties under your window at midnight. I’ve stayed in those harborfront places before, and trust me, the charm wears off when you’re trying to sleep. Here, you get the authentic feel of living in a proper Cornish building without the chaos. The conversion work on Blue Mill is really well done too – they’ve kept the industrial character but made it comfortable, not like some places where they gut everything and you end up in what feels like a generic hotel room.

What really sells this place is the practical stuff nobody tells you about. Parking isn’t a nightmare like it is down by the quay – there’s actually space for your car, which if you’ve ever tried to navigate Fowey’s narrow streets in August, you’ll appreciate. The check-in was refreshingly straightforward, and the apartment itself feels like someone’s actual home rather than a sterile rental. I mean, you’ve got proper kitchen facilities, which means you can grab fresh fish from the harbor or pop into the little Spar for breakfast stuff instead of paying hotel prices for everything. The whole setup works especially well if you’re planning to explore the coast – you can easily drive to the Eden Project or Charlestown, then come back to decompress somewhere that doesn’t feel touristy. And honestly, with a 9.2 rating, they’re clearly doing something right. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Cornwall, but it nails that sweet spot of being comfortable, well-located, and genuinely welcoming. If you want to experience Fowey like you actually live there for a few days, rather than just passing through with a camera, this is your spot.

  This was our second time staying at this property. We loved it so much when we first visited Fowey in October so thought we would come back again. The property is in a fantastic location, opposite a car park which was very well priced. The apartment is very clean and cosy, we felt at home immediately and we have loved both our stays here. Highly recommend!

  It was modern, clean, very comfortable. Incredibly quiet. Conveniently located opposite a public car park and the ferry. Perfectly located at the end of town making it just a short stroll into town.
  Had a fabulous Italian deli just next door, closed Sunday and Mondays open 9 am Tuesday.

  Such a woderful apartman. Clean and spacious. It's was truly very relaxing. Big bonus point for the pillows. From Fowey you can reach nice coasts. Early March is still out of season, it was very quiet and lots of things are closed. but we was lucky with the weather, so come here in March if you just want to relax.
  
  What could be improved: In the kitchen there is lots of cookware, but some of very bad condition and need to be replace. I know some visitors is not careful enough when use it, so this is not easy. But overall everthing was OK.
