You know what struck me first about Eastern Green Apartment? It’s actually got that rare combination of feeling like you’re staying somewhere properly Cornish while still being dead convenient for everything you want to do in Penzance. The location on Jelbert Way is honestly brilliant – you’re tucked away in this quieter residential bit of Eastern Green, so you’re not dealing with the hustle and bustle of the town center, but you can still walk to Mount’s Bay beaches in about ten minutes. And parking – I mean, this is Cornwall we’re talking about, so having your own dedicated spot is basically like striking gold, especially during the summer madness.
The apartment itself feels like someone actually lives here, if that makes sense. It’s got this homey vibe that a lot of holiday rentals completely miss. The kitchen’s properly equipped (I’m talking decent knives, not those blunt things you usually get), and there’s enough space to spread out without tripping over your luggage every five minutes. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night – Eastern Green doesn’t get the late-night foot traffic from the town center, so you can actually sleep with the windows open and just hear the distant sound of waves. The 4-star rating feels about right; it’s not trying to be some fancy boutique place, but everything works well and feels clean and comfortable.
Here’s the thing that sold me on this spot though – the beach access is genuinely easy, not just marketing speak. You can be on the coastal path within minutes, and from there you’ve got options. Penzance promenade is an easy stroll if you want the classic seaside experience, but honestly, some of the best bits are the quieter stretches where you can find a patch of sand without fighting for space. The apartment’s close enough to Morrab Road that you can pop into town for dinner or groceries without it being a whole expedition, but far enough out that you feel like you’re properly on holiday. During my stay in late spring, the area was pretty peaceful – I imagine it gets busier in peak summer, but the residential streets don’t turn into tourist thoroughfares like some parts of Penzance do. If you’re looking for somewhere that gives you the best of both worlds – proper Cornwall coastal vibes without being stuck in the middle of nowhere – this place actually delivers on that promise.

What could be improved: Located in an area surrounded by commercial businesses flats looked down at feel and in much need of painting and sprucing up. Many of the flats appeared permanently lived in and so it felt intrusive as strangers to be staying there.
