The full English breakfast here is worth getting up for, and I’m not usually a morning person. They serve it in what used to be the farmhouse dining room, and you can tell they source ingredients locally — the bacon actually tastes like bacon, if you know what I mean. The eggs are definitely from happy chickens, and they do proper black pudding if that’s your thing. I found myself lingering over coffee much longer than usual, partly because the food was good, but mostly because the whole atmosphere just makes you want to slow down and actually enjoy breakfast instead of rushing off.
