You know what caught me off guard about this place? The name made me think it’d be some cheesy beach-themed tourist trap, but Après Beach is actually tucked away in this converted warehouse space that feels more like stumbling into a cool friend’s loft than your typical Penzance rental. The Warehouse Studio Apartments sit on Leskinnick Place – honestly, I walked past it twice before spotting the entrance because it’s nestled in this quiet residential pocket that most tourists never find.
The apartment itself sleeps four comfortably, and I mean actually comfortably, not that cramped “we technically fit four beds in here” situation you usually get. The space has this lovely industrial-meets-coastal vibe going on – exposed brick walls but with these big windows that let in all that gorgeous Cornish light. What really sold me was stepping out in the morning and realizing you’re maybe a three-minute walk from the harbor front, but you’re not dealing with the chaos of staying right on the main drag. You can actually hear the gulls without the constant stream of day-trippers walking past your window at 7 AM (learned that lesson the hard way at other places in town).
The kitchen’s properly equipped too – I’m talking real knives that actually cut things, not those dull disasters most rentals stock. There’s even decent coffee gear, which honestly saved my mornings since the nearest proper café is a bit of a trek from this side of town. Parking’s the real win here though. You get a designated spot, which in Penzance during summer is basically like striking gold. I’ve seen people circle the town center for twenty minutes looking for somewhere to leave their car. The location puts you close enough to walk everywhere you’d want to go – the Jubilee Pool, the promenade, even the train station if you’re doing day trips up the coast – but far enough from the madness that you can actually relax when you get back. The 9.3 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed here; it’s one of those places that just gets the details right without making a big fuss about it.

The interior of the property was great, especially comfy beds.
