The moment you step inside, there’s this immediate sense of “oh, someone actually lives here” rather than that sterile holiday rental feel you get so often.

The hot tub situation is frankly ridiculous in the best way possible. After spending a day getting absolutely battered by the wind at Land’s End (which is literally right there, by the way), sinking into that bubbling warmth while watching the stars come out over the Cornish countryside… well, it sort of makes you question why you live anywhere else. The shared pool is part of a small complex, and I was worried it might be chaotic, but the other guests were pretty respectful – maybe it’s the type of place that just attracts considerate people, or maybe I got lucky. Either way, my kids practically lived in there while the adults took turns between the pool and that glorious hot tub.

What really sealed it for me was all the little things that show someone actually cares about this place. Proper blackout curtains (crucial when you’re trying to sleep past 5 AM in summer Cornwall), a kitchen that’s actually equipped for cooking real meals – not just heating up beans – and honestly, the best shower pressure I’ve had in any rental property. The bedrooms are genuinely comfortable too, not just pretty to photograph. I actually slept better there than I do at home, which never happens. The shared facilities are immaculately maintained, and there’s proper parking right there, which anyone who’s tried to park near Sennen Cove in August will tell you is worth its weight in gold. Look, with a 9.8 rating, you’d expect it to be good, but this place actually earns those numbers through dozens of thoughtful details rather than just one flashy feature. If you’re the type who wants to explore the coastal path, hit up the Old Success Inn for proper pub food, and still have a luxurious base to collapse into each evening, honestly, I can’t imagine you’d find better in this corner of Cornwall.
